Launching cassava biodegradable trash bag

As we celebrate the successful launch of our cassava-based biodegradable garbage bag by HRK now available at Mega Mart, one of the largest retail supermarkets in Vietnam, we'd like to shed some light on why cassava is an excellent, eco-friendly alternative resource for making bioplastics.

Cassava, a root vegetable widely grown in tropical and subtropical regions, is becoming a key player in the fight against plastic waste. It's renewable and abundantly available, making it a sustainable choice for bioplastic production.

The starch extracted from cassava is used as the main ingredient in our BioFlex material, which forms the basis of our biodegradable bag. Unlike traditional plastics derived from fossil fuels, Our BioFlex bioplastics decompose naturally within 3 years, reducing their impact on the environment significantly. Unlike common OXO degradable plastic bags that most companies promote as a form of greenwashing, our products commit to not produce microplastic pollution.

Perhaps most importantly, the use of cassava for bioplastics does not compete with food resources or lead to deforestation, two common concerns associated with other bio-based materials.
